I am so excited that I get to see this today!  My people are beautiful.

The award winning feature-length documentary A Walk to Beautiful tells the stories of five Ethiopian women who suffer from devastating childbirth injuries and embark on a journey to reclaim their lost dignity. Rejected by their husbands and ostracized by their communities, these women are left to spend the rest of their lives in loneliness and shame. They make the choice to take the long and arduous journey to the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital in search of a cure and a new life.

My life was completely made when I tuned into Rupaul's Drag Race and laid eyes on an AFRICAN DRAG QUEEN!

This is the best news ever for a girl like me!

Nea Marshall Kudi was born in Cameron and spent much of his life growing up between Africa and Paris.  He created the fierce character BeBe Zahara Benet as a freedom for expression.

I tune in weekly and let me tell you, BeBe is giving it to the kids left and right! She is being praised for being classy and not trashy and bringing some fierce Afican exotic flavor to the show.

African Girl Estelle represented with an ensemble that stood out at the 2009 Grammy Awards.

She performed her nominated hit American Boy with Kanye West and they WON for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration! Yay!!!



Ladysmith Black Mambazo also won for their album Ilembe: Honoring Shaka Zulu.



My girl Wayna also received her first nomination and so did Kenna.  Even though they didn't win, they represented Africa well and for the rest of their lives they will be known as Grammy award nominees. 

I've been gone for a minute but I'm back baby, ready to give you my spin on all things African entertainment.  Hope you're ready.

How excited am I that my all time favorite couple Kimora Lee and Djimon Honsou are expecting?

I can't wait to see this bundle of joy and hope it's a boy to add to the mix.  You already know Aoki is ready to boss someone around.
